Christmas Vacation, New Years

I had a wonderful time at home for Christmas this year. Some of the highlights: on Friday before Christmas, Vicki organized a shopping trip for us. Vicki, Brant, Mom, Dad and me all went to Tulsa for the day to go shopping. It was really fun-taking turns going off to shop with different members of the family and having secrets from one another, and getting bothered by Brant because he thinks it takes me too long to pick out the perfect purse for my mom! We finished the day by eating at a yummy Italian place.
Another highlight was going to the Christmas eve service at the Baptist church and then going over to our friends's house from church. We've done this several times in the last few years. They just feel like family. And then after that we went over to Barbara's parents' house which was so nice too!
Christmas day was great. The whole family was over. We didn't open gifts until the evening because Vicki had to work and we waited for her. I think it was harder for me to wait then it was for the kids! But it was worth the wait. I got lots of nice things and of course was glad that Vicki could be there!!
Abigail and Woody stayed over that night. The next morning Woody woke me up. I was positive it was the middle of the night! But it wasn't-it was 7:00 which really wasn't that bad, was it?!
New Years was fun too. We spent the weekend up in Bella Vista. My friend (and past roommate from Korea) came to spend the weekend with us. This is her third time to come to Arkansas for New Years. I like this new tradition.
Real quick I also enjoyed the Alliance Women's Christmas party, eating lunch with Sheryl and Kirstin and drinking coffee with Trudy.
Anyway, I have a wonderful family and friends and am so blessed! Thank you God for sending your Son and for making such a huge difference in my family and friends!
